Levan Davitashvili, the First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, on Wednesday said the ongoing World Governments Summit in Dubai was providing an opportunity to meet numerous government representatives and business leaders.

In his remarks, Davitashvili noted that the Summit was serving as a platform for exchanging valuable insights and information.

“We also had the opportunity to hold meetings with several government delegations and key business groups interested in Georgia. Among them, we had informal discussions with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and MASDAR, a major state-owned energy company from the UAE, which is keen on renewable energy projects in Georgia. This exchange of information is always beneficial for the successful implementation of ongoing and prospective projects”, the Minister said.

Davitashvili further highlighted the significance of the Georgian Prime Minister’s address at the Summit, which presented the country's ongoing economic trends to a highly influential audience.

“This audience consists of decision-makers in various investment sectors. Business leaders and representatives from different sectors received objective information about Georgia’s economic progress and investment attractiveness. I believe this will be beneficial for Georgia’s international positioning this year, particularly in economic terms, fostering trade relations and attracting investments”, he concluded.
