Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili on Friday said the integration into European and Euro-Atlantic bodies was the priority of the Georgian Government, adding that significant work would be carried out in this direction.
In her remarks, Botchorishvili highlighted the importance of achieving the ultimate goal of EU membership.
“As you know, Georgia is a candidate country for EU membership, and important steps must be taken to achieve the ultimate goal of EU membership. This requires efforts from both sides, the European Union and Georgia”, the FM noted.
“Parliamentary elections were held in Georgia last October, and the ruling party is Georgian Dream. The interests of this political party were reflected in the Government programme we have, and in terms of foreign policy, it aligns with the country's priorities on the international stage”, Botchorishvili concluded.
