Georgian Products at Anuga 2023: 23 Companies Showcase Beverage and Food Products at the Global Exhibition

With the organization of Enterprise Georgia's Export Direction, 23 Georgian companies are exhibiting at the major international trade fair for food and beverages - Anuga 2023, taking place on 7-11 of October, 2023.

At the prominent trade show, Georgia is showcased in two pavilions. In the food pavilion, showcases the offerings of Georgian companies, including nuts, almonds, walnuts, blueberries, jams, honey, dried fruits, ‘churckhela’, and ready-to-eat products. Meanwhile, the beverage pavilion features natural fruit and vegetable juices, mineral water, lemonade, and tea.

The event is traditionally hosted in Cologne, Germany. Anuga typically attracts an annual audience of approximately 165,000 attendees and boasts around 7,500 participating exhibitors. The exhibition ranks among the most prominent international trade fairs for the food and beverage sector, with the primary aim of establishing business relationships with potential international partners and customers, strengthening the export potential of countries, and expanding into new export markets.

With the organization of Enterprise Georgia, a Georgian companies are taking part in the exhibition for the fifth time.

With the support of the Lead Generation Program, a significant volume of Georgian blueberries has been exported to the EU and UK markets.

As a result of this initiative a major trade agreement was signed between the Georgian Blueberry Growers Association and Wonderland Farms.

Through this agreement and the joint collaboration of association members, more than 500 tons of Georgian blueberries will be exported to the EU and UK markets, destined for supermarket shelves.

The Lead Generation Program was implemented from 2022 to 2023 by Enterprise Georgia in close cooperation with the USAID Agriculture Program and the Rural Development Agency. With the support of this program, an international consultancy company was hired to identify potential international buyers and arrange corresponding B2B meetings with Georgian producers.
