Warm and dry on April 1, rain expected from April 3-4
The National Environment Agency (NEA) has issued its forecast for weather conditions across Georgia over the coming days.
According to meteorologists, warm and dry conditions are expected across western Georgia on April 2, whilst isolated showers are forecast in some districts of eastern Georgia alongside the warm temperatures. From the afternoon of April 3, intermittent precipitation is expected across the greater part of the country. Tbilisi will remain dry on April 2, with brief spells of rain and wind anticipated on April 3-4. Daytime temperatures will reach +18°C to +20°C.
Coastal areas (Batumi, Kobuleti, Anaklia, Poti): Warm and dry on April 2; rain expected on April 3 and 4. Daytime temperatures of +21°C to +23°C on April 2-3, dropping to +13°C to +15°C on April 4.
Western Georgia lowlands (Zestaponi, Kutaisi, Samtredia, Zugdidi, Martvili, Ozurgeti): Dry on April 2; rain expected from the afternoon of April 3. Daytime temperatures of +23°C to +25°C on April 2-3, falling to +14°C to +16°C on April 4.
Western Georgia highland areas (Ambrolauri, Oni, Tsageri, Shovi, Chiatura, Sachkhere, Khulo, Rikoti Pass): Dry on April 2; rain expected from the afternoon of April 3. Daytime temperatures of +20°C to +22°C on April 2-3, dropping to +12°C to +14°C on April 4.
Western Georgia high-mountain areas (Mestia, Bakhmarо): Dry on April 2; precipitation expected from the afternoon of April 3. Temperatures of +12°C to +14°C.
Kartli (Rustavi, Bolnisi, Marneuli, Gardabani, Gori, Tskhinvali): Scattered showers. Daytime temperatures of +19°C to +21°C.
Kakheti (Sagarejo, Telavi, Gurjaani, Sighnaghi, Lagodekhi, Kvareli, Akhmeta, Dedoplistskaro): Scattered showers. Daytime temperatures of +19°C to +21°C.
Eastern Georgia highland areas (Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi, Dusheti, Tianeti, Pasanauri): Scattered showers. Daytime temperatures of +17°C to +19°C.
Eastern Georgia high-mountain areas (Akhalkalaki, Tsalka, Bakuriani, Gudauri, Omalo): Precipitation likely in places. Daytime temperatures of +9°C to +11°C.

Holy Synod to convene at Patriarchate on April 3

At the invitation of the Locum Tenens of the Patriarchal Throne, His Eminence Metropolitan Shio, a session of the Holy Synod is to be convened at the Patriarchate on April 3. The public relations office of the Georgian Orthodox Church made this announcement.
“On April 3 of this year, at 12:00 noon, a session of the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Georgia will be convened at the invitation of His Eminence Shio (Mujiri), Metropolitan of Senaki and Chkhorotsku, Locum Tenens of the Patriarchal Throne.
The purpose of the session is to address those organisational matters not provided for under the statutes governing the administration of the Georgian Orthodox Church, among them, further particulars concerning subsequent sessions of the Synod and the enlarged council, the venue for the council’s convocation, the procedure for summoning delegates, and other such necessary questions,” the statement reads.
