Strong winds, storms at Black Sea in weather forecast for April 8-9 l NEA
The National Environment Agency (NEA) issued an alert on the weather forecast for April 8 and 9.
According to the NEA, on April 8, scattered precipitation is expected in western Georgia, while on April 9, heavy rains are forecast for most regions of the country. Strong winds and thunderstorms, storms in the magnitude 3-4 and the threat of avalanches in the mountainous zones are in the weather forecast.
“Western strong winds will be blowing in eastern Georgia, including the capital city, Tbilisi. Heavy rains may cause swelling of small rivers and formation-activation of the land sliding processes (threat level-medium),” the NEA said.
