Minister of Finance meets WB Vice President for Europe and Central Asia

Georgian Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili met with the Vice President of the Europe and Central Asia Region at the World Bank (WB), Antonella Bassani, within the framework of the annual spring meetings of the IMF and WB.

The WB-supported ongoing and scheduled projects were reviewed during the meeting.

The Minister of Finance familiarized the WB Vice President with the country’s macroeconomic parameters and medium-term outlook.

The WB Vice President emphasized the progress Georgia has made in terms of economic growth in recent years and the priority areas on which joint work is underway, especially in the Middle Corridor.

Deputy Finance Ministers Giorgi Kakauridze and Ekaterine Guntsadze, WB Group Executive Director Eugene Rhuggenaath, WB Regional Director for the South Caucasus Rolande Pryce, Georgian Ambassador to the U.S. Tamar Taliashvili, and Department Head for Public Debt Management at the MOF Irakli Kacharava attended the meeting.

image Planned nighttime roadworks on Chabua Amirejibi Highway will cause traffic restrictions on April 16

Due to scheduled works to clear a rocky slope on the Chabua Amirejibi Highway, traffic will be entirely restricted from 01:00 to 06:00 on April 16.

According to the Tbilisi City Hall, the restriction will apply to the section of the road from the tunnel at the intersection of Chabua Amirejibi and Kakutsa Cholokashvili Highways to Mikheil Tamarashvili Avenue.

“During this period, vehicles will be able to use Kakutsa Cholokashvili Highway, Sulkhan Tsintsadze Street, and Mikheil Tamarashvili Avenue as alternative routes.

Tbilisi City Hall apologises for any inconvenience caused,” the statement reads.
