Davit Narmania delivered a public lecture to students from multiple universities
Professor Davit Narmania, Chairman of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC), delivered a public lecture to students from several universities, covering the specifics of GNERC's activities and regulatory matters.
Davit Narmania elaborated on the significance of regulating the electricity, natural gas, and water supply sectors, as well as the development of the irrigation sector, tariff policies, and the promotion of renewable energy. The GNERC Chairman emphasized the role of the independent regulatory authority, discussed international projects, and highlighted the importance of fostering competition within the energy sector. He also took the time to answer students' questions.
"It is encouraging to witness students' growing interest in energy and water supply issues. The ongoing reforms in the energy sector and the challenges it faces have sparked significant interest among young people from various fields. We are always eager to engage with students, schoolchildren, and professionals, answer their questions, and provide insights into current issues in regulated sectors," said Davit Narmania
Following the public lecture, the students toured the micro-generation power plant at GNERC, where they learned about its operational details.

10 students from several universities in Armenia had the opportunity to visit the U.S. and attend a short educational program at UC Berkeley this summer, based on the results of the student contest “My Armenia, My Future” conducted by Ameriabank and Visa.
As part of the educational program the students attended lectures at one of the world’s best universities UC Berkeley, completed a Stanford campus tour, participated in interactive classes and groupwork, visited the world’s big tech firms and Visa Innovation Center.
The contest was announced by Ameriabank and Visa for students of all public and private universities of Armenia as part of the “My Ameria, My Armenia” campaign. The purpose of the contest was to identify and encourage proactive students with flexible and creative mindset, who care for the future of Armenia.
Under the contest “My Armenia, My Future”, in addition to the 10 packages to attend a short-term educational program at UC Berkeley, the students were competing also for 160 scholarships and funding from Ameriabank for the 3 best projects titled “My Armenia, My Future”.
