Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday praised the newly inaugurated Paragraph Tabori project as a landmark investment in Tbilisi’s modern development, emphasising that its initiator, Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder and Honorary Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, continued to distinguish himself through charitable activities aimed at advancing the country’s future.

In his remarks, Kobakhidze underlined the project’s scale, ambition, and symbolic importance for Georgia’s capital. 

“I would like to thank the initiator of this project, Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili, who is the mastermind behind this idea. His charitable activities are, of course, distinguished for our country by their essence. This project is yet another manifestation and expression of his charitable work. Every such project, or similar ones, is notable for being oriented not toward financial profit but toward giving new impetus to the development of the respective city, region, and our entire country. This is precisely what distinguishes the Paragraph Tabori project”, the PM said.

He noted that the initiative, part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, integrated innovative urban planning and premium-class tourism infrastructure, elevating Tbilisi’s status as a European-level destination.

“This complex, which is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, establishes Tbilisi as a European-level, premium-class tourist and business centre. Paragraph Tabori represents an interesting synthesis of modern architecture and urban planning. Tbilisi’s first top-tier golf club, a distinguished spa complex, and an innovative cable car connecting it to the heart of the city, Freedom Square, make it a unique project for the region”, he continued.

The Prime Minister further noted that the ₾500 million investment in the hotel complex, golf course, and cable car linking the site with Freedom Square represents a long-term commitment to Georgia’s economic growth.

“This investment, first and foremost, means hundreds of new, well-paid jobs for our citizens. It is noteworthy that Paragraph Tabori is not a standalone project. It is part of a network of hotels created by the Georgia Tourism Development Fund, which already operates in Tbilisi, Sighnaghi, and will soon include Abastumani”, he said.

“Once again, I would like to thank Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili and all the people involved in implementing this initiative. I want to express gratitude to the Tourism Development Fund, every architect, engineer, and builder who was involved in bringing this ambitious idea to life and contributed to the realisation of this project. Paragraph Tabori will add new charm and energy to our capital and create an exemplary model for the city’s modern development”, Kobakhidze concluded.
