Georgian PM hopes Trump destroys “Deep State” to save US, Europe
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday said it was a fact that the current United States administration's attitude towards Georgia had fundamentally changed.
In his remarks on behalf of the ruling Georgian Dream party's Political Council, Kobakhidze noted that for fairness, it should also be noted that the current United States administration did nothing to date to correct its predecessor's mistakes concerning Georgia.
He further expressed the Government’s sincere desire that United States President Donald Trump fulfilled one of his main campaign promises and destroys the Deep State.
“Regarding the role of the US in the current processes, it is a fact that the current administration's attitude towards Georgia has fundamentally changed, and the unjust attitude that originated from the previous administration and which is now continuing even more acutely through official Brussels towards our country has been halted. We have said it many times and confirm once again that we wish President Trump success in his fight against the Deep State. However, we also harbor a reasonable doubt that this fight may not end with the defeat of the Deep State but with its rebranding. The goal of this could be to sideline the US and drag Europe into the Russia-Ukraine war with full force, ultimately leading to the simultaneous destruction of Europe and Russia. Time will tell all this”, the PM said.
“However, for fairness, it should also be noted that the current administration has done nothing to date to correct its predecessor's mistakes concerning Georgia. Unjustly imposed sanctions remain in force, and our openly stated desire to start relations with a clean slate remains unanswered. We once again express our sincere desire that President Trump fulfills one of his main campaign promises and destroys the Deep State; otherwise, the Deep State, or the Global War Party, will destroy not only America, as Donald Trump himself noted, but also Europe”, he concluded.
